Newly patented means of coding and transmitting the signal

The experiments conducted by our team were, for the most part, aimed at overcoming obstacles that handcuffed our predecessors. These experiments were based on the following principles:

  1. The inevitable necessity of processing the information (camera shot) on the way from the camera to the electro-tactile device;

  2. Providing as wide a range as possible for modifying the experimental device and changing the signal;

  3. Using the effect of the “tactile stroboscope” to perceive information periodically transmitted to the skin in an uninterrupted way, with the period of impulse transmission not exceeding 20-30 milliseconds.

We also hoped to be successful by mixing the informational stream, meaning the division of each still-shot into a number of close-up shots (for example, “negative” and “positive”) and their cyclical transmission on the electro-tactile device with the frequency that should provide mono perception.

Patents

Following from our philosophical principles, our patents are not for the construction of the device, but rather “the method of conveying information to the human nervous system.” The method is composed of the initial coding of information into tactile signals and the training of an individual to recognize those signals. The initial information is divided into a set of streams, with each one of them later being coded into a set of discreet signals. The codes of each stream are transmitted to separate fixed points on a subject’s skin. During the educational process, the subject learns to combine the signals into information that is similar to the initial information. The initial information is coded with electrical signals of different amplitudes, mechanical vibrations of different magnitudes, or different heat ranges. The lengths of time of the signal and between the signals are different, too. The level of dispersion is regulated accordingly.
